Where are your thoughts?

Encourage the young men to be self-controlled.  Titus 2:6  

Take control of your thoughts! This is one way to practice being self-controlled.  

Stay Alert!

Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8

Being self-controlled is living in God’s protection. 

Self-Control

But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled.  1 Thessalonians 5:8

You are of the DAY! You are a born-again, spirit-filled child of God! Self-control is a gift from God. 

Wise Fun

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.  Galatians 5:22

Self-Control. It’s restricting yourself from doing things that might seem rewarding at first, but are harmful in the long run. 

Walking In Love

But I (Jesus) say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you… Matthew 5:44  

Love your enemies. Pray for those who give you trouble. Sounds like a hard thing to do doesn’t it? 

Loving and praying for someone is one of the most powerful things you can do. You will see things change when you walk in love. 

Walking in love toward people is the way Jesus lived and His way never fails.
