Your Intended Purpose

But I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your Joy no man takes from you. And in that day ye shall ask me nothing for I say unto you whatsoever ye shall ask the Father he shall give it to you. Until this time have ye asked nothing in my name: ask and ye shall receive, that your JOY may be full. John 16:22-24

In these scriptures Jesus was speaking with the disciples right before he died. He was telling them that he would die BUT that he would rise again and see them again.

This means that when Jesus died and paid the price for sin, we are in relationship with God directly. No longer do we have to go through a priest or live our lives mistake free to have relationship with the Father God!

Now through Jesus we can ask for ALL the promises of God we want and receive ALL those promises!

When we start receiving and living in the promises of God our joy is full because we are living God’s intended purposes for our lives!

When Life Is Overwhelming

Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.”  Philippians 4:4

Joy isn’t just a happy feeling when things are going well. Joy is a choice.

God’s joy gives you the strength to stand strong when life seems overwhelming.

Joy is one of the fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22).  As a Christian you have joy living on the inside of you.  Draw it out – rejoice in the Lord always, remind yourself you can rejoice through Jesus.

Today's Thought: How will you choose to rejoice today?

Righteousness, Peace & Joy in the Holy Ghost

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.  Romans 14:17

How do you live in joy? Think about God’s promises to you. When you remember
God’s promises you will get excited about all the things He has planned for you.

One way to live in joy is to spend time with the Holy Spirit. Start with thanksgiving and praise for all He’s done for you. Joy will rise up within you. If you’re having problems at school, home or work, connect with the Holy Spirit. There is joy in the Holy Spirit.

When you’re filled with God’s strength nothing can stop you.  Live in His joy today and watch the problems disappear.

Today's Thought: What are you thankful for?

Joy Looks Good On You!

Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.  Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.  Psalm 32:11 – 33:1

Joy is like a blazing fire – it captures the attention of people in darkness.  As Believers we have great reason to be joyful! We know who we belong to, we know God loves us, we know we have a hope and a future! Joy will cause people to be drawn to you and you will have opportunities to tell others about God’s love for them. Joy looks good on you!

Be Strong

The joy of the Lord is your strength.  Nehemiah 8:10

When do we need strength?

We need inner strength when we are facing Life challenges. Joy in your life brings that inner strength!  When you spend time in God’s presence, reading the Bible and praying, the joy of the Lord will overflow out of you.  In God’s presence, You are reminded of all of God’s unfailing promises! As you focus on the Promises and Goodness of God you are strengthened to keep going and be strong, no matter what, because you realize the truth of the Word is stronger, bigger and better than any challenge you may be facing!

Good Morning

… Joy comes in the morning.  Psalm 30:5

What does that mean? In the morning? Does that mean Joy only happens at 7am? No, this verse implies that each day when we wake up we are reminded of God’s Promises in our lives and as we focus on those promises we live in Joy!

What is Joy? Joy isn’t happiness – happiness is temporary. Happiness disappears when something bad happens.  Joy is a choice. Joy is based on the condition of your heart. Choose to keep your heart focused on the Word!

One last thought… Joy comes when you wake up, for some of you who may be nocturnal that may happen at noon, when ever the “time” is, choose to wake up to who you are In Christ and see the potential of your life! As you do that and get into the Word you will live in enduring Joy!

Just Believe!

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. Romans 15:13

We are filled with Hope, Joy and Peace when we believe!!

Believe what the Word says about you!
Believe who God says you are!
Believe God has good things for you!
Believe you have a destiny and a future!
Believe you are loved by God!

As you believe, you are filled with hope and Joy through the Holy Ghost!

The Fruit of the Spirit is Joy!

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23
Joy is a fruit of the Spirit. When we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we are born again and the Holy Spirit lives on the inside of us. One of the characteristics of the Holy Spirit is Joy. We are not waiting to get Joy, we have Joy! It has already been given to us. We need to renew our thinking to the Word of God that reminds us that we have all things in Christ… including Complete Joy!

Today's Thought: What are some scriptures that help you renew your thinking, and walk in complete joy?

Always Full of Joy

These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. John 15:11
This scripture tells us that Jesus has given us His Joy. The same joy Jesus had is in us! Jesus says that the things he has spoken to us, keep our joy full. We don’t have to live up one day and down the next.  We have every Word He has spoken in written form in the Bible. Read it! Keep it before you and your Joy will be Constant and Full.

Today's Thought: What has God spoken to you that keeps your joy constant and full?

Good Things Ahead...

Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalms 16:11

When you trust God with your life and He directs your steps, then your life is full of purpose and direction. As you continue to focus on that purpose and direction keeping God first place you understand true joy. As we remain in His Presence we experience a Fullness of Joy that cannot be achieved any other way. This verse also promises that at His right hand are pleasures evermore. God has good plans for us and good things for us but to live that out we need to Keep God First!

Today's Thought: What good plans does God have for you?

Walking In Joy!

Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. Hebrews 1:9
This Scripture is talking about Jesus. While on the earth Jesus was anointed by the Holy Spirit. Jesus lived and moved in all of the fruit of the Spirit. One of those is JOY! This verse tells us that, Jesus, at the time he walked the earth, was anointed with JOY above all mankind. The good news is that NOW, we who are IN CHRIST, have the same anointing on the inside of us. We can operate in the same JOY that Jesus walked in. This Joy Jesus had was not based on temporary life but on Eternal life and Him knowing he was in RIGHT relationship with God.

Today's Thought: What are some ways you can walk in joy?
