Walking In Love

But I (Jesus) say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you… Matthew 5:44

Love your enemies. Pray for those who give you trouble. Sounds like a hard thing to do doesn’t it?

Loving and praying for someone is one of the most powerful things you can do. You will see things change when you walk in love.

Walking in love toward people is the way Jesus lived and His way never fails.

The First Command

This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.  Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.  John 15:12-13

Love – the first command Jesus gave us.

Do you want to see the power of God released through your life?

Do you want to change the atmosphere around you, wherever you go?

Put the love command into action. Start loving those around you. As you walk in love towards people, you will see God’s awesome power at work through you.

The Solution To Every Problem...

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. 1 Corinthians 13:13

How should you deal with a problem?  With love.

The Bible says God is love. When you bring love into a problem, you put God right in the middle of it. He is the solution to every problem.

The love of God never fails.

You Can't Fail!

Love Never Fails… 1 Corinthians 13:8

When you walk in God’s love you can’t fail. Godly love is a powerful force that puts you in charge of every situation. Nothing can hurt your feelings because you aren’t ruled by feelings – you’re ruled by God’s love. You can love people the way God loves.

Love Forgives

… Love keeps no record of when it has been wronged… 1 Corinthians 13:5

Love forgives – no matter what. The Love of God is in you. You are not touchy, fretful or resentful. You take no account of evil done to you. You forgive and forget.

What Does Love Do?

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.  Charity never faileth.  1 Corinthians 13:4-8

What does love do?

Love forgives.
Love conquers fear.
Love sees the potential in people.
Love desires to bless.
Love seeks the good in others.
Love is patient.
Love is kind.
Love has joy in the truth.
Love is full of trust.
Love believes the best in everyone.
Love never fails.

Activate Love

But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.  He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.  1 John 2:5-6

Every spiritual force is activated by love. God has given you His Spirit to teach you how to love. With His power you can live a life full of love.

Think about some ways you can walk in love.

Here are some ideas…
Eating lunch with someone who sits alone.
Be a friend to someone.
Help someone with his or her homework.
Send an encouraging e-mail.

Love becomes active when you read the Bible and live what you read.

Healing The Pain

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.  Romans 5:5

God has poured His love into you.  Make the decision today to let God’s love in you show.  Make a commitment to live a life of love.  Let God’s compassion flow through you, to heal the hurts of those around you.

God Is Love

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us.  God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.  1 John 4:16

It’s love that caused Jesus to lay down His life for you. His love has taken care of every sin and failure you’ve ever had. God Loves YOU!  He’s given you everything He has. He’s given you all the health, wisdom, prosperity and strength you’ll ever need.  All you have to do is accept His love. Jesus loves you!

God Gave

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  John 3:16

God loved the world so much, that he gave… and He gave… and He gave.  God loves you so much that He desires to give to you.  God has made a promise to you – eternal life.  Jesus broken body and shed blood have become the eternal proof of God’s love for you.

Flash Back 2008! Married With Passion

A Year filled with Love, Adventure and Dreams Coming True!

The first day of summer, June 21, was no ordinary day! In fact nothing about that day was ordinary; a few things were traditional, but not many...

Dad and I drove the ’32 Ford up a winding dirt road to a mountain park, where friends and family had gathered. The song Godsend, by DC Talk played as Dad helped me out of the hotrod and we walked down the path.

Waiting at the end of the aisle was the man of my dreams; today David and I would begin a lifetime together, filled with adventure and love.

Our wedding was beautiful! Pastor Lawson talked about the meaning of love. David and I exchanged vows and rings, mixed colored sand together ~ symbolizing that our union will never be separated, took communion, and then came the kiss ~ our very first kiss! We had decided early in our relationship that our first kiss would be on our wedding day, we’re so glad we waited for that special moment!

Then Pastor Lawson announced us as Mr & Mrs David Larsen – husband and wife. No Ordinary Love by Toby Mac played as the ceremony ended and the celebration began.

Our honeymoon was great! We spent a week at a cabin in the Colorado Mountains, explored an old gold mine at Horseshoe Mountain, rode class 4 rapids on the Arkansas River while whitewater rafting, went camping and made s’mores. We also saw several wild beasts… Two moose, a heard of elk, a lone fox, a swarm of mosquitoes that attempted to eat us alive and a chipmunk who tried to attack us!

Being married is wonderful! We know the adventure has just begun and we look forward to seeing God’s plan for our lives continue to unfold. Our future is bright and the Lord is doing great things for us!
