The Gift of Grace

That the gentiles should be fellow heirs and of the same body and partakers of His promise in Christ by the gospel: Whereof I was made a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. Ephesians 3:6-7

This Christmas let us reflect on the best gift we have ever received… the gift of Jesus!

Think about Him and the gift of grace that came through his life, death and resurrection. We are now enabled to be family members with Jesus in God’s family. We are given the same privileges that Jesus is given.

God’s grace towards us, God’s favor towards us, God’s ability in us is worth celebrating.

Merry Christmas!

The Highest Name

And, behold, thou shall conceive in thy womb and bring forth a son, and shall call his name Jesus. Luke 1:31

…thou shall call his name Jesus. Matthew 1:21

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him and given him a Name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth and things under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11

The angels were specific in giving Mary the name of Jesus… this is important that you understand that God personally named Jesus. In the name of Jesus is all authority of Heaven. God, the Father and Creator, exalted the Name of Jesus and it is the highest name. All will one day be united under the Lordship of Jesus Christ! All things in the earth, all things in heaven… All will know Jesus is Lord!

The Most Exciting News Ever!!

… and the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you Good tidings of Great Joy which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord… Glory to God in the highest and on earth, peace, good will toward men. Luke 2:10 – 11, 13-14

This Proclamation was the most exciting News Ever!! The angels were making the long awaited announcement of Jesus’ Birth to mankind.

People had been looking for a Saviour since Adam and Eve. Ever since the “Garden Incident” people were unable to have a relationship with God. People thought God was mean and that God did not want to be in relationship with them. This was not true. God wanted to be in relationship with man all along but sin separated us.

The Angels announcement was GOOD… and full of GREAT JOY!!  This announcement declared PEACE and GOOD NEWS and that God’s promised Saviour had arrived. Finally, sin that had separated God and Man could be paid for and God and Man could be together again!

Jesus’ Kingdom is Eternal

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder:  and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end… Isaiah 9:6

…and shall be called son of the highest and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: and he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever and of his Kingdom there shall be no end. Luke 1:32-33

The scripture in Isaiah is a prophecy in the Old Testament that fore-told Jesus birth. The prophecy tells us that Jesus is the Mighty God and that His kingdom and Peace shall never end. The scriptures in Luke also tell us that his kingdom shall never end.

Sometimes it is easy to forget that Jesus’ Kingdom is Eternal. Life is not just about what we see right now but it really is all about God, His plan and your part in it.

Someday we will forever be living in Jesus’ Eternal Kingdom praising our King, our Counselor, our Prince of Peace, our Everlasting Father Forever!

Jesus’ Assignment on the Earth

And she shall bring forth a son, and shall call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21

This verse tells us Jesus’ assignment on the earth. Jesus was born, lived, died and rose again to save his people from their sins.

You are God’s people. You are created for him and by him and He loves you.

Jesus came to save You from Your sins. Sin was keeping you from God and His Goodness. Jesus came so you could know God and His Goodness in your life.

Thank you God for sending Me Jesus!

One Size Fits All!

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal Life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

For by Grace are ye saved… it is the gift of God. Ephesians 2:8

Christmas time is a season in which Gifts are exchanged. Remember that Jesus was God’s gift to you! Jesus is the perfect gift. One size fits all!

This verse says that Eternal Life was given through Jesus. Eternal Life is knowing God. Believing on Jesus enables us to know God personally. Knowing God and building a relationship with him is a gift that continues your whole life.

The best present of all is Jesus!
