Family! Rocky Mountain National Park - Colorado

In June we visited Rocky Mountain National Park to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary. We drove the Trail Ridge Road which covers 48 miles of the park, with the altitude changing from 7,500 to 14,259 feet. There were 20 foot walls of snow piled along the sides of the road, which made for a fun snowball fight. The valleys were lush and green from all the snow that was melting. We crossed over the Continental Divide, where any water that falls to the west will eventually end up in the Pacific Ocean; and if it falls to the east, it will drain into the Mississippi, and eventually, the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean.
